ENDI 2008 Information

Emory National Debate Institute
Atlanta, GA
June 8-21, 2008

Why attend the ENDI over another institute?
The ENDI is a rigorous experience for students who want to become champion debaters. Our curriculum teaches students strong debate skills through an intensified knowledge of the topic. ENDI students participate in more full practice debates in the course of the two weeks than students at most other institutes. If you are looking for an in-depth and well-practiced understanding of the topic's most important questions, the ENDI is the right place for you.

How will the ENDI curriculum help me improve as a debater?
The ENDI curriculum focuses on the three most important components of success in debate: critical thinking, topic knowledge, and presentation skills. Our staff tailor the curriculum to each group of students and adjust to a variety of student needs. Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Novice Debaters have all found the institute a worthwhile experience. We teach traditional arguments, critiques, and debate theory, and train students to answer all of these arguments effectively. Each student will attend extensive topic lectures, practice skills and arguments with the staff, and receive high quality evidence packets to take home. Previous attendees have become very competitive teams on both the national circuit and in their regions.
